  • Image:Downs Deidre Miss USA 2005.jpg (history · last edit) from various -- OK, is this correct? This image has no Summary or License information... that is enough to be suspicious, isn't it? There are many copies and variations on the web. [THIS (Serene Light Inc} logo in pic indicates source is Miss America Organization maybe? But could not find pic on Miss America site. THIS (Cinderall Gowns) indicates that the pic is maybe used by Ms. Downs as a giveaway. If you could take 30 secs to let me know if
  1. Lack of summery/license on image page is indeed suspicious?
  2. Sould I assume fair use here, because
    1. source is probably Miss America and it's OK to use one of their pics to illustrate their pageant? and/or
    2. wide use of this pic by many sites, even at least one newspaper, indicates that pic is under fair use (or else they wouldn't be using it)?
That would be great as I am trying to learn Fair Use / Not Fair Use. Thanks!!! Herostratus 01:57, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
