The Smokin' Gunns was the professional wrestling tag team of "brothers" Billy Gunn and Bart Gunn. They portrayed two cowboys in the mid 1990s era of the WWF (now the WWE) and became a very successful face team, capturing the WWF World Tag Team Championship three times, and having Sunny as a manager after they beat The Godwinns for one of those title reigns. However, Sunny was a heel manager and manipulated the Gunns, especially Billy with whom she had an onscreen relationship, to start using heel tactics though they continued to be quite popular with the fans.

Sunny would eventually lead the team to its downfall. When the Smokin' Gunns lost their tag team titles to Owen Hart and the British Bulldog in late 1996, Sunny left the team because she would only be a manager for title holders (she did not become Hart and Bulldog's manager though). Billy, frustrated with losing both the titles and Sunny, turned against Bart. Now officially a heel, he briefly feuded with his brother before both men went their separate ways.
