Agatha Christie (15 September 1890 - 12 January 1976)

British crime fiction and mystery writer. She was made a Dame of the British Empire in 1971. Published over 80 books and other works. Also used pen name Mary Westmacott for romantic novels.

Famous characters include Hercule Poirot and Jane Marple.
