James Curtis Atkins (born March 10, 1921 in Birmingham, Alabama) is a former pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Boston Red Sox (1950, 1952). He batted left-handed and threw right-handed.

In a two-season career, Atkins posted a 0-1 record with a 3.60 ERA, two strikeouts, and 15 innings pitched in four appearances (one as a starter).
