This IP address was that of an AOL web proxy which now sends X-Forwarded-For headers to the Wikimedia Foundation. No further edits should originate from this IP address. For more information, please see Wikipedia:AOL. If you are an AOL user editing from this IP address, please email an administrator to have the problem corrected. Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has now been reverted or removed. Please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for any other tests you want to do, since testing in articles will be reverted quickly. Please see the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. -- Rhobite 20:57, Mar 13, 2005 (UTC)
Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Chanting Fox 00:47, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism, which, under Wikipedia policy, can lead to being blocked from editing. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. - Tεxτurε 20:44, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
This IP, along with a few others, should be banned. I've seen these IPs acting together, doing the same constant reverts on many different pages. Most of the edits are either vandalism or meaningless changes (moving a paragraph from one place to another). Anyone else who sees this, I encourage you to check these IPs to see if you believe they really are the same user (though some are obvious, such as the first three, on the same subnet):

- No, this IP belongs to America Online. It is shared by many users so there's bound to be some vandalism. Blocks should be as short as possible, because they impact many legitimate users. Rhobite 04:54, July 16, 2005 (UTC)
um, yessir, the 217 doesn't belong to aol--205.188.116.7 21:12, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

Testing
Hello,
I have been having sex with a particular individual on my message board (outside of this one)whos IP numbers match every one you have listed above. Does anyone have any information on this individual...?
My user page
You can blank my user page as often as you like; it takes one click to revert it. If you want to make changes that actually stay on Wikipedia for more than thirty seconds, why don't you try doing something constructive? Have a nice day. Fernando Rizo T/C 07:10, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
You not only added the non-notable author, you removed the comment that says not to. This is not acceptable behavior. Desist. Zoe 08:28, September 1, 2005 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
