Tasks you can do:

Here are some open tasks for WikiProject Children's literature, an attempt to create and standardize articles related to children's literature. Feel free to help with any of the following tasks.

Things you can do

Sequels

I am considering creating an account sometime, but since for now I do not have one, could one of you who have accounts create the articles for the sequels of Bloody Jack?
I've wanting to do that for a while, but I'm not sure if it would work. I think we should create one at a time, so that we're not under pressure. Sandmouse 02:44, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Novel series navigational box

I think that it would be nice to add a Novel series navigational box to the Bloody Jack and the Curse of the Blue Tattoo pages, and I would make and add one to the pages, except for the fact that I have no clue on how to make one(sadly). Does anyone else think this would be good?(And, does anyone know how to make one?)

Later: I was reading about them and I realized that since there's only 4 books so far(with number 5 this fall, hopefully) and no movies or anything, that maybe this isn't such a good idea. But I did find the General Navigation box template, so that's good. JayEsJay 04:55, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and was bold. Sandmouse 23:31, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cover

Should the cover be changed to the hardcover because the hardback came out first? Or should it stay with the paperback cover? JayEsJay 19:15, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I would have, but I can't find a the hardback cover. If you have it, by all means upload it. -sandmouse

Goals

What are our goals for this book's and its sequels' articles? I've thought of a few:

- Create the Mississippi Jack article.

- Use the Wikiproject novel page templates on the following pages

- Create an article for the entire series, posisbly. What do you guys think of this?

- Create an article for the upcoming book, My Bonny Light Horseman. info here Sandmouse 20:40, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Those sound pretty good, just one thing: Mississippi Jack comes out on September 1. However, I think there's probably enough info to start an article anyway. The article for the entire series sounds good as well, since other book series have them, so I think that should be done soon. I'm not too sure about creating a My Bonny Light Horseman, since we know virtually nothing about it besides the title, but that may change. I think another goal should be to fix up the Under the Jolly Roger and In the Belly of the Bloodhound articles. They're in need of attention. Both are hardly more than stubs.JayEsJay 01:03, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Whoops, I thought I read somewhere it was out already; anyway, the point stands. Wait a minute: should the series be called the Jacky Faber Series or the Bloody Jack Series? I'm in favor of Jacky Faber, myself...Sandmouse 01:23, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm thinking "Bloody Jack Adventure Series", since it says "A Bloody Jack Adventure" in the corner of the cover of each book. Does that sound okay?JayEsJay 04:43, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that. Sounds good.... *adds* Sandmouse 20:15, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bloody Jack cover.jpeg

Image:Bloody Jack cover.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
