Barry Krauss

Barry Krauss is a former professional American football player who played linebacker for eleven seasons in the National Football League.
Krauss was born March 17, 1957 in Pompano Beach, Florida, where he was a star high school football player. Highly recruited out of high school, he played college football at the University of Alabama for the legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant, and was a key member of The University of Alabama's 1978 National Championship Football team.
Krauss was first round draft choice in 1979 for the [[Baltimore Colts. He played ten years in the NFL with the Colts, and played his final season with the Miami Dolphins. In 11 seasons he played in 152 games and had 8 sacks and 6 interceptions.
The 1987 Indianapolis Colts defense he was part of allowed the fewest points of any NFL team for that season (238/15.87 per game).
Today he is a professional broadcaster and motivational speaker based in Carmel, Indiana. In 2007, he was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.
