Pecheneg (russian : Печенег) is a russian machine gun chambered for the 7.62 x 54 mm round. It's a modernised PKM machine gun. Pecheneg is said to be much more accurate then all its predecessors due to heavier barrel, radial cooling ribs and a handle over the barrel wich eliminates the haze effect from the hot gases and keeps the barrel significantly cooler, making the weapon more reliable. Also, the weapon is capable of mounting a telescopic sight or other sights which additionally increase accuracy. The military designation of the Pecheneg is 6P41 / 6P41N (with night vision sight). Pecheneg is intended also for Spetsnaz troops.
