Okay, it did good commercially (1.8 million copies worldwide) and critically for an 25th anniversary album edition, but hasn't it been certified Gold in the U.S? Its not going to be certified, why do you thing it only appeared on the "Catalog chart"? Its considered the same as the original Thriller album. It will boost the 27 x Platinum states of Thriller but T25 itself will never be certified. Which in some ways is really good because that means theres a chance that Thriller will go back to being the best selling US album of all time. With the sales of T25, Thriller is close to a 28 x Plat certification. Also, who cares if it missed the #1 spot, lol, its a bloody reissue with next to zero promotion. It means that MJ could do a studio album which would shift 400,000+ in its first week if promoted correctly with good songs. Everyone thought his career would be over after the trial, T25 is currently the 2nd best selling album of the year worldwide. Whats more, its just proven something ive known for a long time, MJ is the only superstar in the world that doesnt need the US to shift records. Sure the US helps him but it only counts for 25% of his sales (the US market is 50% of the industry). Hes truely international. And btw, the album was also listed on the Billboard Comprehensive Charts, where even there didn't reach number one, in it's country of origin.
