MŠK Žilina is a Slovak football club, playing in the town of Žilina.

History

The club was founded on 29 June 1909 under the Hungarian name Zsolnai testgyakorlók köre. Between the two world wars, the club was Slovakian champions twice, in 1928 and 1929. The club played 31 seasons in the First Division of the Czechoslovakian League, and following Slovakias' independence in 1993 the club won the Slovakian championship in three successive seasons, 2001/02, 2002/03, and 2003/04, and finished second in 2004/05.
