"Some Things Never Change" is a single by American country music singer Sara Evans released in February 2008. It is the second single released from her, Greatest Hits compilation album.

Background

"Some Things Never Change" is a celebration of home, family and such simple pleasures as seeing the kids get off the bus at the end of the school day.[1] The song's hook "some things never change" is based on the central character's realization that, while things may change in the world around her, the basics of love between family will never change. [2]

Chart performance

"Some Things Never Change" debuted at #54 on the Hot Country Songs chart dated February 2, 2008. In its second week the song moved from #54 to #57. However in its third week, it was added by so many radio stations, that the song jumped from #57 to #41 in one week and then entered the Country Top 40 the following week. It peaked at #26 on the country chart dated May 10, 2008.
