Gautama Siddha

Gautama Siddha (Chinese: 瞿昙悉达; pinyin: Qútán Xīdá, fl. 8th century) was a Chinese translator, astronomer, astrologer, and compiler of the Tang Dynasty known for his leading in the compilation of the Treatise on Astrology of the Kaiyuan Era. He was born in Chang'an, and his families was originally from India, according to a tomb stele uncovered in 1977 in Xi'an. The Gautama families had probably settled in China over many generations, and might had predate even before the establishment of Tang. He was most notable for his translation of Navagraha calendar into Chinese.
