Unlike other Wikipedians I don't archive Talk pages since old contents are automatically archived anyway, but I keep a log of the removals:

Hi! Wikipedia:Interlanguage_links suggests to place them at the bottom of the page. Thus it would be helpfull, if your bot would place them there. -- User:Docu

Interln bot needs fixing

Bot operator Alex, Wikipedia:Chinese interlanguage links should be read before you add anymore Chinese interlinks. --Menchi 03:20, 7 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Rob? Who's that? I don't recall anybody here by that name. Is that "Rob"ot? --Menchi 03:32, 7 Dec 2003 (UTC)
The bot has been fixed to comply with those rules. It can now also find the mutual links between zh-cn and zh-tw pages. Thanks for that link, it has been very useful. Rob Hooft 08:40, 7 Dec 2003 (UTC)

The interlanguage links should go at the bottom. Please do not move them up to the top. Your bot was listed at Wikipedia:Vandalism in progress for this. --Jiang, Talk 09:36, 7 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Properly configured, the robot can move all links to the bottom. Rob Hooft 20:31, 7 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Large number of interlanguage links should be put on separate lines, such as:
[[eo:dsfdfaf]]
[[fr:fsdfafda]]
[[es:sdfsdfs]]
[[zh:sdfsdfsdf]]

not
[[eo:dsfdfaf]][[fr:fsdfafda]][[es:sdfsdfs]][[zh:sdfsdfsdf]]

which causes horizontal expansion. --Jiang | Talk 09:52, 7 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Hello? Is anyone there? Please answer. --Jiang | Talk 11:14, 7 Dec 2003 (UTC)
Horizontal expansion can also be avoided by using spaces rather than newlines: [[eo:dsfdfaf]] [[fr:fsdfafda]] [[es:sdfsdfs]] [[zh:sdfsdfsdf]], which is what the bot is doing. Andre Engels 16:21, 7 Dec 2003 (UTC)
And if that is not sufficient, the robot can be configured to put all links on separate lines. Rob Hooft 20:31, 7 Dec 2003 (UTC)

I'm somewhat confused as to your coments on my user talk page -- perhaps you could add a comment explaining a few things when you get a moment? -- Darkhorse 16:51, 2003 Dec 7 (UTC)

Thanks very much for the comment and for putting my mind at ease. -- Darkhorse 17:17, 2003 Dec 7 (UTC)

New user boilerplate text

In your new user boilerplate text, you have a semicolon(;) where you should have a colon(:). I would fix it but I don't like editing other users' (sub)pages without permission. You most likely got that boilerplate text from Angela(or vice-versa). She has corrected the problem. Noldoaran (Talk) 21:15, Dec 8, 2003 (UTC)

Is Wikibot automated ? or someone decides which articles the bot has to work on everyday ? is the bot taking care of standardizing interwiki links for ALL articles in wikipedia ? Jay 16:09, 9 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Can you please switch off Wikibot, and respond to these posts on wikien-l?

-- Tim Starling 01:23, Dec 10, 2003 (UTC)

Please don't leave!

..but if you do, I'll miss you! —Noldoaran (Talk) 02:16, Dec 10, 2003 (UTC)

I second that! What was this fiasco you're talking about? Dori | Talk 04:36, Dec 10, 2003 (UTC)

Hi, don't let the criticism of the Wikibot get you down. It's not worth quitting over. You've done a lot of good work here Alexander and I hope to see you back soon. .Angela. 06:30, 10 Dec 2003 (UTC)
