Will Dead Presidents III be on the album? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.158.48.129 (talk) 01:56, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

American Gangster track listing

Please do not keep listing the same XXL track listing. The track listing is most likely correct but could be wrong, iTunes was. Just wait for Jay-Z or Def Jam to confirm it, which will leave no room for speculation. --Ayoleftyz 07:17, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

XXL tracklisting should be posted just like the itunes tracklisting since XXL mag is a credible source. Plus there are tracks in the confirmed tracklisting such as Dead Presidents 3 that arent even confirmed - Bren202 12:55, 16 October 2007

I'm just going to add the XXL track listing and remove the other two. It saves the hassle and the time, also it's most likely correct and XXL is good enough for now I guess. --Ayoleftyz 08:39, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ye, plus all but 2 of the songs on the xxl tracklisting have been confirmed by other sources - Bren202 1:53, 16 October 2007

Done. --Ayoleftyz 08:58, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

leak

it leaked today. dunno if that's noteworthy or anything, but there you have it81.96.160.171 02:44, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Samples

samples used on album here. probably should include somewhere on the page. plus should there be a section for marketing of the album like the american gangster tour? - Bren202 5:59, 29 October 2007

Once the album is officially released we can add this information. As for the marketing, that can be added later. --Ayoleftyz 03:07, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sample list for Say Hello stated that Yasunori Mitsuda was sampled for it, this is incorrect, it was only Tom Brock 68.110.9.167 07:33, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not a concept album

I heard a bootleg of this album(2/5stars) and it doesnt follow the movie. It sounds like the same wannabe gangsta Jayz always portray. Its sad when someone trys to make an album thats always gonna sound like their previous albums, real concept albums are, "The Wall", "The Score", etc;this is crap. —Preceding unsigned comment added by The Blizzard King (talkcontribs) 22:31, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Executive Producer

Does anyone know who it is?? --KarmaLoop 21:07, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I purchased the CD and it says:

Executive Producer: Shawn Carter
Executive Producer: Antonio "LA" Reid --KarmaLoop 21:48, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

iTunes

uhh...jay pulled the album from itunes because he didnt want ppl to buy individual tracks or something. "As movies are not sold scene by scene, this collection will not be sold as individual singles," Jay said in a statement. to lazy to add to page so if anbyone wants to do it, article can be read here. - Bren202 5:14, 6 November 2007

I preordered the album on iTunes and it still downloaded but it put the artist as various instead of Jay-Z —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.59.82.166 (talk) 18:48, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong date??

"On November 9th, Jay-Z appeared on the Charlie Rose Show to discuss the album.[4]"

It's only the 8th of November today...

ye i dont get it either, when i clicked the source it said the 9th but the video didnt even work so..... - Bren202 7:22, 7 November 2007

Too Many Reviews

Too many reviews cited for my taste. For comparison, Sgt. Pepper's has 4 reviews cited. Reviews like nappyafro.com are poorly written and not at all worthy of citation.

Happy, sir? Also, someone keeps adding the nappyafro review, I keep removing it.. how do I report him for vandalizing?--KarmaLoop 05:46, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uncredited

the uncredited artist shouldn't be in the tracklisting section. maybe just make a not of them in the guest section. but w/e. ima just leave it for now--Bren202 01:01, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mafioso rap
