Why does this article keep getting tagged as blatant advertising? I have read the guidelines and the links provided are verifiable secondary sources. I have no affiliation with Rex Goliath, I simply want to expand wikipedia's offerings of information about beverages.

wtf. Now its gone. Could i at least get my template back?

Thats fine, I'll send it back to the drawing board and try to gather more info. Thanks for your speedy response.

Great, if you have time I will run it by you for a quick review. Thanks again for your help.

Tourism In Quebec

Hi, I just started this page 5 minutes ago... Give me some time to put informations in it please. Bonjour_Quebec

You auto-reverted a number edits to this article claiming I was committing vandalism. I believe my rewrites correct a number of grammar and other issues. Please compare with the version before the changes. Am I still a Wikipedia pariah, or can I get unwarned now?

Got a note from you

a cmpany keeps putting up there self promtoion on the page. i pulled it down. Passage events keeps promoting themselves —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.138.128.188 (talk) 04:00, August 20, 2007 (UTC)

ITV Play Westcountry

I deleted the article because it was completely made up. There is not one word of truth in it. It is, to be blunt, a fictional article. I have now replaced it with a redirect to ITV Play's entry, which will hopefully stop whichever troll started it from recreating it. Deleting Content

I deleted the content and saved it by mistake. I have fully edited the content now for the article on Subramaniam Pillai. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rdx-77 (talkcontribs) 22:07, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

I deleted the contents on the LIU, CW Post site labeled "arguments" because 1. I have been to at least 50 wikipedia college and university sites which only state FACTS, not biased grudges/complaints/heresay, etc. Not a single one had an "arguments" section. If they are allowed, they should be placed on the discussion section. These items add no value to the Long Island University site, which is supposed to be informative, objective and based on fact. This is CLEARLY a person(s) personal grudge against the institution. 2. I have a grudge against NYIT and I (in the past, as I now adhere to wikipedia standards) used to add my "arguments" against the school on their wiki site and they were constantly taken down as they were based on my experiences and personal biases and NOT on solid FACT. If my "arguments" were not allowed, neither should the ones on the LIU, CW Post site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.189.35.249 (talk) 23:16, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

Hi Tip

The author of the article I edited is a close friend of mine.... He is an outstanding writer in Spanish and Knowing the Ballet and him well I took on the edit.. This is the number 4 classical ballet in the world. Ms. Alonso is a personal friend of mine as well.. I am sorry about the summery.. I have no idea how to do that..... LOL Frankly, this is a one time deal for me in all probability.... If you could somehow fix it I would be grateful, as would my friend Migual Cabrera.

Cheers, Sr.Pastel de Manzana

Alrighty, you may wish to Shift + Right Click the VP program, and select "Run As...", then...urg, I don't remember for sure, but put it under an administrator. VP worked for me in XP Service Pack 2 and Running as an Admin. So, just going under the Run As... should, in theory, work. Hello. Regarding the recent annoying template message you put on on my talk page: You may already know about it, but you might find bug 9213 useful. Anonymous users are not notified of new messages they recieve until several hours after they recieve them – and once the "new messages" bar appears, it does not go away no matter how many times it is clicked. Thus warning anonymous users is pointless, and is a waste of time, effort and bandwidth. Thank you. 86.149.9.24 22:13, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared user account, and you didn't make the edit, consider requesting a ban for yourself so you can avoid further policy violations.

I see you flagged this as non-notable. Isn't a decorated WWII hero & participant in a famous action inherently notable? --Rodhullandemu 00:22, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

yes, but that article says very little about him being decorated, and gives far less information about the WWII hero himself. This article has no references, and in my mind does not meet WP:BIO. Tiptoety 00:28, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, your call. I might have flagged it for expansion, but there ya go. --Rodhullandemu 00:30, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed this article at AfD where it was speedily kept of course. You nominated this article for deletion one minute after its creation despite him being a decorated war hero who took part in one of the most famous air raids in history. A moment's googling would have shown that he was notable. Why do you put 'decorated' in inverted commas, is it because you don't understand what it means or that you don't think it's important? I hope this was an isolated incident. Articles don't spring fully formed into life like Athena. The original article clearly said that 'During the war he won the DSO and DFC.' which is a sufficient assertion of notability in anyone's book. Nick mallory 09:33, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, i am aware that it may have not been the best choice to put it up for AfD, that is why i withdrew. I agree that i should have done some research on the topic, but from the article it did not appear that he was decorated, and that is why i wrote it like that (i am aware what decorated means), but i guess i was wrong, i was unfamiliar with that specific war hero, but now i am not, guess i learned something from it! Happy Editing! Tiptoety 13:56, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just as a footnote, if you see me remove a speedy deletion or prod tag in the future, there's a good chance that I will have done the research and will be adding to the article. In the same spirit of WP:TEMPLAR, please gimme a chance to hack at the article before you AfD it. Of course, there's no rule that says you have to and I think it was a simple misunderstanding. Also, if I remove an experienced user's tag, there's a good chance that I would have come here to explain it after I was done with the article. Anyway, cheers and happy editing! Tiptoety, I noticed that you'd gone unreviewed for a bit, so I wrote one for you. Keep up the good work! Into The Fray T/C 00:29, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not a problem. I should emphasize that I think you're doing great things. In other news, Portland is one of my all-time favorite cities. And hasn't the Multnomah County Sheriff's office been features on COPS a few times? I want to say . . .yes. Anyway, one thing I didn't write there because I wasn't sure if you were or not, but you might consider becoming more involved in Wikipedia:WikiProject Criminal Biography or some other Project. I know I need to get involved in a project myself.  ;) Cheers and take good care. Into The Fray T/C 00:53, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Three times, a few years ago. I actually interviewed for a job in Beaverton and another in Portland proper. Went sailing on the Columbia....that's the river, right? White water rafting not far outside of it. To Mt Hood and Mt St. Helens. Used bookstores, great beer. Beats the hell out of Seattle, IMO, and that's saying a lot because Seattle's a nice city! deleted by author--overreacted

My mod does not use GTR, you repeatedly reposted my mod with -GTR after it and you were wrong. So forgive me if I was a bit irrate that you allow another mod to hijack my time and my creativity, and not only that delete the links from it while keeping the other mods there--2 of them don't even have 1.4.2 compatibility. My mod has had more than 30,000 downloads and is one of the most popular servers. So yeah, I was a bit upset---there is no GTR code in the mod and niehter have I used it and no other mod code in it. Just be wise and understand the fury you can causae repeatetively reposting lies about who created what. I spent time to create the mod I made and I DID NOT STEAL IDEAS OR CODE that you obviously think you are cool to keep reposting on your site. Letting another person hijack credit for my creations that is a total different mod. You reach into people's anger chords doing that crap---so do your fregen research before posting material on the net. Its just the result of the aristocracy in a small part of the Quake community---the idea there can be no mod made unless it is influenced by the small group of modders-deltactf, q4max, or gtr--which is not true. I have nothing against those mods--but they have nothing to do with mine. My earlier mod was ported inside of gtr--not the other way around, gtr was never inside of Q4SupremacyMod, TTK Bandit suggested that fragfestmod be ported inside of GTR. Fact of the matter is, the mod was too bugged and couldnt be served successfully and therefore dropped. Vandalism--i would disagree with that comment--but as you notice I took out my comments to you. But on another thing---why take out my mod link? I can provide statistical informatoin on how many downloads from my gameservers are on. Pretty fucked up that so many people who go on the server automatically assume GTR code is in it, and for no fucking reason. The few in quake have a fucking monopology on people's minds-giving them the idea that there can be nothing to quake without them being involved which is crap. Its like someone writing a book and another reviewer adding another author to the book. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.161.128.15 (talk) 11:42, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First off i only reverted your edit once. And second your edit was vandalismm, i welcome you to contribute constructivly to wikipedia and edit the Quake 4 article with proper information, if you belive that the information within the article is wrong then please by all means change it, but change it with sourced information, and do so without violating and policys. Thank you, Tiptoety 18:48, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
removed I understand it was just probably a misunderstanding about the adding of -gtr at the end. I am happy i was able to find this to be able to take back what I have typed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.161.128.15 (talk) 11:42, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Week 1 October WP:ORE COTW

I know everyone has been waiting anxiously for this week’s COTW, so here they are: Barlow Road and Columbia River Plateau. Both are almost Start class, just some formatting and referencing, plus a little expansion and they will be there!

As to last week, it is difficult to track the items we were working on, but I know some pictures were added and at least three red links were removed from Oregon, so thank you to all those who participated. The award winner will be GoodDamon for their creation of the Oregon Forest Resources Institute article. We have now worked through all the Top class stubs and are into the High class stubs. Again to opt out or suggest future collaborative efforts click here. Happy editing, and remember if you see a downed power line, don’t pick it up. Aboutmovies 20:21, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - Please see the comments in the AfD page for the deletion as to why I reverted the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.160.10.53 (talk) 23:15, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

vandalism

The information I provided prior was correct information so it is not vandalism. Just understnad putting other mods as mine is just something that can really cause anger. I have so many people coming onto my mod and saying it something else and my eyes just bulged out of my skull seeing that page and then having -gtr keep being reposted like 11 times after it was removed. Understand that I am not ok with that its just misinformation and false. The information prior to that about setting up a server is correct information so its not vandalism when it is used and is correct. Be careful about the information, the q4supremacymod is separate and does not use any other mod code its a creatiion that is unique and not stolen. GTR does have the mod ported inside of IT not q4supremacymod. Reposting it q4supremacymod-gtr I think you did it like 11 times, I developed it autonomously on my own with my own time not GTR's. And the information that was ont aht page is information that is correct I have the post and I use it myself and so dont many others--so yeah its not vandalism. I had to insert that your information was wrong was becuase you kept reposting the name -gtr at the end of my mod how else was I to stop it? Hence, how the idea of having my mod hijacked by another was talked about. GTR has nothing to do with q4supremacymod nothing. So many people have come to the server saying the mod had the gtr code, wikipedia is seen as an authority, I was wondering why would so many strangers come and talk about unlagged code and I can see they may have gotten that idea from this post on wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.161.128.15 (talk) 00:14, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We already had this disscussion above, and the result was that you did in fact vandalize once, and after that i never reverted any other of your edits, you will need to disscuss this problem on the articles talk page, or with the editors themselves. Thank you. Tiptoety 00:19, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you delete the post? Instead of putting lines through it? and then delete this one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.161.128.15 (talk) 00:21, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why? Tiptoety 00:23, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Correct information was not what I thought vandalism was, the information was correct and not false and sourced from the source. But that really wasn't why I was upset. It was just the name. I just want to have the post deleted instead of having lines through it. I am not going to apologize for being pissed, i mean wikipedia says that my mod is using other mod code and is false so yeah anyone who creates something would get pissed if a reviewer adds another author to it. I don't really care for the idea of talking about the bugs of another mod is why I would like to see the post be deleted. My being pissed is not what I care about, its just that GTR is a good mod and I dont really care for people knowing that it was bugged out is all. I would like to take those words back even if true.

No, i will put lines through them if you like, but i will not remove them. Sorry, Tiptoety 00:28, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, but for the record, gtr is a good mod and all mods have bugs, so I was not saying as the whole. I would prefer if you just delete that sentence, I am not afraid of flamewars but would prefer to stay out of them lol even though its a good starting point for one to have wikipedia adding the name to mine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.161.128.15 (talk) 00:32, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, but once you say something it can not be taken back. I hope you best of luck with your editing. Tiptoety 00:34, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, i didn't know that. Lesson learned. I probably won't be editing pages. Best of luck to you as well. And the point is correct, even information that is correct can be considered vandalism now that I think about it. But, was not my intention though. thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.161.128.15 (talk) 00:55, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Spamming" talk pages

Hey Ty, rather than announce your new Oregon-related article on a bunch of user talkpages, just go ahead and announce it at WP:ORE and those of us who are interested will join in. Good job starting another article though, and one that has a ton of potential to become a good article as it grows--there's a lot of history and even controversy there. I know you're excited about it but if we all announced articles this way, our talk pages would get awfully crowded. Several of us monitor User:AlexNewArtBot/OregonSearchResult and if we weren't aware of it before, any new article with the word "Oregon" in it will soon get the attention it deserves. I know Aboutmovies "spams" the members of WP:ORE, but he has an opt-out option for those who don't want to get notices like that. It's fine to contact a few people you've worked with before, of course, and I see you got good results that way. Keep up the good work, and P.S. a very belated thanks for the anti-spam barnstar--I got a little sidetracked after that--that was sure heck of a lot of spam I reverted--it was exhausting. Take care, Katr67 01:28, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. When you think the article is ready, list it at Wikipedia:Peer review and hopefully you will get all sorts of outside opinions about how to improve the article. Katr67 03:16, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thank you! Tiptoety 03:18, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
