        • Far Eastern University avoids elimination as they force the defending champions University of Santo Tomas in a do-or-die affair to determine which team will advance to the playoffs.
      • UE school colors UE 92-84 La Salle La Salle school colors (OT)
        • The University of the East clinches the first Finals berth as they swept the elimination round, the first time a team was able to do so since 1993, by beating De La Salle University-Manila in a mostly tightly-fought contest.
