Ambepussa is a town in the the Kegalla District in Sri Lanka (Ceylon).

Ambepussa is 45 kilometers northeast of Colombo and in the western part of the nation.

History

The first railroad tracks in Sri Lanka led from Colombo to Ambepussa.

Geography

Latitude: 7° 15' 0 N, Longitude: 80° 12' 0 E.

Ambepussa is situated at the junction of Routes A1 and A6.
