"Bleed the Freak" is the second single by the American grunge group Alice in Chains off of their first album Facelift. The song follows three of the groups most popular songs at track #4 but has held its own as a mainstream track by the band.

The song has been released 3 times in 3 different ways. The first being the Facelift version, the next being a demo off of the Alice in Chains box set Music Bank and the final being off of their Live album in 2000. The lyrics are about wanting to feel normal and literally just "bleeding the freak" out of oneself. It was the first single off of Facelift, and in 2006 was played frequently as an opener for shows

Nu-Metal band Korn have covered the song under strict usage rights, the rule being Korn could never record the song and/or use it for financial gain, but for use on their live tours exclusively.

Leading up to the release of the Live album, a video of a 1990 performance of the song at The Moore in Seattle was shown as a music video for it.

"Bleed the Freak" was rated as the #4 Alice in Chains song of all time by fans on the AICfreaks.com survey in February 2007.
