Carlos Morales Troncoso is a Dominican Republic politician who currently serves as the foreign Minister.[1]

History

Carlos Morales Troncoso was born on May 16 1986 and is married to Luisa Alba de Morales, they have 4 children. He gained degree's in two disciplines; chemical engineering and sugar engineering from Louisiana State University. His career in the sugar industry has seen him form the state sugar council for the Dominican republic, for which he currently precides as president.[2]

Political carrer

Troncoso is a member of the Dominican Liberation Party party. He was a member of the monetary board of the Dominican Republic prior to becoming vice president of the Dominican Republic in 1986 after winning his candidacy with Joaquín Balaguer who became president and continued in this role until 1994. From 1994 up until 1996, Troncoso was the foreign secretary of the republic, regaining the title in 2002 to the present day.[2]
