Amitabh

IT is written that Kishore decided to never sing for Amitabh in 1980s, but many songs sung by Kishore until his death, are picturised on Amitabh...

It doesn't say that Kishore didn't sing for Amitabh at all in 1980s. To fix confusion, I have changed it to mid-1980s. utcursch | talk 11:35, Apr 15, 2005 (UTC)

Edit/tidy up

Hello people. Zora has enlisted me to contribute to editing duties on the page. I will do this slowly! ;o) Come and speak to me at my discussion pages if you want to talk about anything else. Autumnleaf 15:30, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Good work so far! Thank you so much! This article was mentioned in a Slashdot article and probably got lots of traffic, and it's just too bad that you hadn't edited it before it got so much exposure. Zora 19:07, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Conversion

I know Kishore Kumar became Muslim for a while, for one of his marriages. Whatever happened to that? How long was he Muslim? A month, a year? Fkh82 01:27, 17 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Never heard that. I can ask my gurus on Usenet. Zora 05:32, 17 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Interestingly enough, it is mentioned in Madhubala's entry. Fkh82 22:20, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup

I truly believe that this article needs some cleaning up. Some things don't sound like they'd be in encyclopedias, so this needs to just be reorganized. Thanks! Mayukhers112 12:54, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did some work on correcting the voiceing. alot of this article sounds more like your good friend telling you about him than an encyclopedic article. I also did a bit of copyeditng, alot of the comma'd lists are lacking in "And"s on the last item.

Suspenseboy 19:39, 18 June 2007 (UTC)== R D Burman made it clear that he prefers Kishore over Rafi? ==[reply]

Looks like this article is written by a demented fan of Kishore who's trying to belittle Rafi? RD Burman preferred Kishore over Rafi?? Says who?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Suspenseboy (talkcontribs)

Actually I am a "demented" Rafi fan but I have added the reference from the article in question as the truth is what wikipedia is about. It is actually a known fact that RD Burman gave the public what they wanted in the late 1960's and early 1970's (more western rhythms) and he believed that KK's voice was better suited to this endeavour than Rafi's. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.23.222.201 (talkcontribs)

Hold up.. You've mentioned this part before.. what I'm asking for is a reference.. We can make up many points about why such and such thing took place but to prove it we must have evidence or reference. Do you have something to back up your statement?

P.S. Some folks have spoken negatively regarding Rafi. I believe that has only been done to praise Kishore Kumar or vice versa. I'm positive those are Kishore fans that are trying to prove something that's not true. Kishore and Rafi are incomparable. Both have had their primes and both are undoubtedly great singers. One may have a preference over the other but that doesn't make the other less talented. You must admit that! So please stop trying to make up your own facts regarding either one of these fine singers and accept them for what they do.

If you like one over the other, that's ok. But please don't go haywire with it and try to persuade others. Because you just CAN'T Suspenseboy 19:39, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
