Bon Clay

File:BonClay Small.jpg

Bon Clay, or Mr. 2 as he was known as in Baroque Works, is an okama.. Meaning he is a gay man, and his flamboyant attitude which includes singing and dancing proves this.

The Straw Hats first meet up with Bon Clay on their way to return Princess Vivi to the desert kingdom of Alabasta. His antics immediately amused them, and Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper fell head over heels for his ability. Bon Clay ate the Mane Mane Fruit which allows him to transform into anyone he has met.

Bon Clay later discovers that his friends are really the enemies of his boss, Crocodile, thus forcing him to combat them.

In the capital Alaburna, Bon Clay and Sanji have a very intense battle. Just as Sanji looks set to be the victor, Bon Clay discovers Sanji's weakness: Nami. He impersonates her, using her form to drive Sanji into a crazy fanboyish state which allows him to even the playing field. Eventually, Sanji realizes that Bon Clay must revert to his own form to unleash his stronger attacks. He takes advantage of this and forces Bon Clay to revert to his form so that he can pummel him. The ball is in Sanji's court yet again until Bon Clay pulls his iron tipped geese from his shoulders and puts them onto his shoes. This creates more problems for Sanji, and the playing field is even once more.. But eventually, Sanji manages to defeat Bon Clay.

When the Straw Hats prepare to leave Alabasta after liberating it from the tyrant Shichibukai Crocodile, Bon Clay calls them up on a Den Den Mushi (a snail phone) and tells Luffy that he has their ship. He hid it from the marines docked in the harbour (Smoker, Hina, Jango (or Django), Fullbody, Tashigi, etc.) and exclaims that he did it because they are friends. Now that he is no longer a member of Baroque Works (and a pawn of Crocodile), he wants to be a close friend, perhaps even a shipmate..

As the Straw Hats and Bon Clay leave Alabasta on the Going Merry, Hina, Jango, and Fullbody attack. Bon Clay comes up with a plan that would allow them to escape. He and his own shipmates impersonate the Straw Hats, thus luring Hina's squadron to them. This allows the Going Merry to escape as Bon Clay stays behind with his crew, boarding Marine ships and unleashing hell upon them. As the Going Merry draws further away, Luffy exclaims that he will never forget Bon Clay, their nakama.

Bon Clay was captured by Hina. His current whereabouts are unknown, but some believe he may be held in the terrifying prison known as Impel Down.

Crocodile brought Baroque Works to Alabasta and worked there to incite a rebellion. He possesses the powers of the Suna-Suna (Sand-Sand) Fruit which lets him turn his body to sand and it a devil Fruit of the Logia type which is one of the most powerful. It is also noted that he had a hook for a left hand. He was looking for the ancient warship called the Pluton which he believe is buried somewhere in Alabasta. He wanted to be an Alabastan king with Pluton near him, but found out Pluton was not in Alabasta and plans to kill his Baroque Works vice president Nico Robin. He was defeated by Luffy, saved Nico Robin and King Cobra from the collapsing temple.

Don Krieg

File:DonKrieg Small.jpg

Don Krieg is the leader of a large pirate "force." He commands a large number of pirate ships and is said to be the most powerful pirate in East Blue.

They are introduced after they return from the Grand Line, which is where Krieg's fleet encountered Mihawk and other dangers. As a result, many of Krieg's ships were destroyed and he was forced to retreat back to East Blue.

Don Krieg's forces were nearly wiped out and they are now starving. Don Krieg and one of his fleet commanders (Gin) attempt to take over the sea restaurant Baratie but are met with resistance from Zeff, Sanji, the chefs, and the Straw Hats.

Franky

File:Franky Small.jpg

Franky was known as Cutty Flam in his early life. Tom, the legendary shipwright took him as another apprentice after he was thrown out by his parents. He usually wears shirt and swimpants only, and particularly skilled in constructing devices out of scraps. The name Franky was first said by Iceburg since the name Cutty Flam was too strange.

There was an CP5 leader name Spandam who tries to buy the Pluton blueprint from Tom. When Tom won't coorperate, He had one of his man to use the Battle Franky that Franky build to fire at the Jury ship; thus framing Franky, Tom and Iceburg. After they prepare to take Tom away, an enraged Franky attacked Spandam.

Franky got ran over by the Sea Train, while he tried to stop it, since Tom was being accused of a crime he did not do. His dying body drifts to a scrapped ship and he immediately replace most of his body parts with metal, and he practically became a cyborg. Back in Water Seven, he organised a bounty hunter/dismantler group called The Franky Family.

His family attacked Usopp and stole the 100 million berries; the wounded Usopp goes after them to his hideout to get them back only to get beaten up. Franky then left to spend the berries. After Luffy wiped out the Franky Family to avange his friend, he decide to change the ship because it was irrepairable; Usopp sees himself weak and quits the crew.

Usopp challenges Luffy to a duel to win the ship. Usopp loses the duel but gets to keep the ship anyway. The dishearted Luffy and his crew leaves Usopp alone with the empty ship. Later, when Franky finds his hideout and his family beaten up, he swears revenge.

Enraged he goes to find Luffy to challage him to a fight. Beacuse Iceburg was shot by Nico Robin, the Straw-Hat Pirates were to blame; the shipwights was after both the brooding Luffy and Franky so non of them won the fight. Luffy tried to reason with the angry mob but to no avil, Franky became pissed off at the shipwights for interrupting his fight, he performed the Coup de Vent that blows the ships up, giving Luffy and Nami time to escape.

Franky later found Usopp and took him and his ship to his warehouse. Franky wanted to use Usopp as a bait to lure Luffy to his lair so Franky can finish figthing him. He had his family running around Water 7 spreading the news for the Straw-Hat to hear saying things like "Franky is holding that long-nose freak! He is beating him to a bloodly plup!!"

But in the warehouse Franky developed a warm friendship with Usopp. Franky who was also a shipwright inspected the Going Merry and told Ussop that it's ineeded irrepairable and tries to dismantle GM but Usopp who was so extremely attacted to the ship tries to fight Franky only to find himself get thrown in the water under the ship and to see the kneel badly damaged.

Usopp of course tries to repair the ship again; Franky told him to quit that because no matter how many times he does that the ship will sink anyway. The angery Usopp, rudly told Franky to shut up but he confessed that he knew this all along and told Franky about an strange figure who repaires his ship to an orginal state back in Skypedia.

Franky understood him and told him about a ship spirit called the Klabauterman; a ship that repairs itself. Usopp realize it was Going Merry who repairs itself and had talked to him.

After a brief discussion, there was the knock on the door. It was none other than CP9. Franky tries to encourge Usopp to go back to his friends again; Yet Usopp was so hard-headed, he got in the argument with him. Franky tries to reason with him but was cut of when he saw his "Square Sisters" getting knocked down by Califa.

Gaimon

Gaimon is a character that gets his body imprisoned in an empty treasure chest after he loses his grip while scaling a small cliff on the mysterious Island of Rare Animals trying to find some treasure with his pirate crew. The crew leaves Gaimon stranded on the island. The treasure chest becomes his body and cannot be removed, however, he can still use his hands, head and feet. It takes 20 years for another person to find him.

After Gaimon shrinks when he gets stuck in the chest, he can no longer scale the cliff. He has to protect his treasures somehow, so he would use his gun and his spooky voice to drive away intruders. Monkey D. Luffy and the whole crew passes the trial and they begin to become friends. However, when Luffy finally gets to the top of the cliff, Gaimon realized that the treasure chests were empty too and he had been protecting a nonexistent "treasure" for 20 years. Then, he considers the animals as his treasures, and vows to protect them.

Gin

Gin, known as Ghin in the English anime, is Don Krieg's right hand man. Gin is given a plate of food by Sanji for free when Gin is starving on the Baratie. When Don Krieg's forces come to take over the Baratie, Gin is ordered to kill Sanji. Gin, a person who tortured and killed other people with his clubs, could not make himself kill Sanji. Gin is punished by Don Krieg.

Gold Roger

File:Roger Small.jpg

Gold Roger is the former Pirate King, and the previous owner of the legendary treasure known as The One Piece. Gold Roger was quite fearless, those who saw him just before his execution claim that he smiled gleefully just before his death. In the anime, two men jabbed spears into his heart. In the English anime's opening animation, the narrator claims he was hanged, while the English manga says they "lopped off his head." The original Japanese manga, however, never reveals how he was executed (which may or may not become an important plot point in the future).

The death of Gold Roger marked the beginning of the age of pirates. This was because his legendary treasure; The One Piece was now up for grabs, so people took to the seas in search of it.

Later on in the manga Dr. Kureha reveals that his true name was Gol D. Roger. The significance of the middle initial "D." (which is shared by Luffy and his brother Ace) could suggest Gol D. Roger was related to Luffy in some way.

Hina

File:Hina Small.jpg

Hina is a marine in One Piece. She has received the nickname Hina the Black Cage because of her Devil Fruit ability which allows her to bend parts of her body around people and imprison them. She is a long-time friend of fellow marine Captain Smoker.

File:Iceburg Small.jpg

Iceburg was the founder of the Galley-la ship company, and the mayor of Water Seven, a water canal based city, much like Venice. He was also an apprentice to Tom, the legendary merman shipwright who built the Oro (Gold) Jackson, Gold Roger's ship, and the Sea Train, a ship resembeling a train which runs on tracks. He later employed carpenters with talents both in carpentry and fighting, and therefore, able to eradicate any pirate threat which endanger his company or city.

Later, he was pressed by the CP9 to hand over the blueprints for Pluton, an ancient warship which is one of the ancient weapons.

Django

File:Jango Small.jpg

Django (ジャンゴ Jango) is the first mate of Captain Kuro. He uses disks that double as chakrams to hypnotize people to his advantage in battle. "Django" is the spelling used by the United States version of One Piece released in the U.S. Shonen Jump by Viz. Many fans prefer the spelling "Jango".

Django wears strange clothes, including a long coat covered in the disks he uses to fight and hypnotize, and black-lensed heart-shaped glasses. It can be assumed that his character was based on Michael Jackson and Steven Tyler, the Aerosmith's singer, as when he travels he usually moonwalks, and he uses flashy gestures similar to Michael Jackson's dance moves. Other notable similarities can be put between his trench coat and his heart shaped sunglasses.

Django possesses the power of hypnosis, which he uses to put people to sleep and to make Captain Kuro's crew far more powerful and fierce. He is not, however, perfect with his hypnosis - when he puts people to sleep, he usually falls asleep as well. And when he hypnotizes the crew to make them stronger, he also accidentally hypnotizes Monkey D. Luffy - with unpleasant results.

Django is ordered by Kuro to kill Kaya, but before he can kill her, Usopp hits him with his exploding stars. Django is thought dead, but secretly survives. Through many adventures and lots of hypnosis, he ends up a Marine recruit, working alongside the disgraced Ironfist Fullbody, under the command of Hina (whom they both adore).

Usopp tries to warn Kaya about the plot, but Kaya believes that he is lying; therefore she hits him when he insists that he is telling the truth.

Kaya is later informed of the truth by Merry, another servant of hers. Kaya confronts Kuro during a battle between Kuro and his men and Monkey D. Luffy, Usopp, Nami, and Roronoa Zolo (Roronoa Zoro in Japan). Kuro reveals that he tried to kill Merry. Kaya aims a gun at Kuro, but she drops it and cries after Kuro talks about how he was publicly at her side and how much he wants to kill her. Usopp tells his "pirate crew" (in reality a group of children who lie along with Usopp) named "Usopp's Pirates" (known as the Veggie Pirates in the English anime) to protect Kaya. The members, Carrot, Onion, and Pepper, flee with Kaya to the forest. Jango chases after them and attacks the group. When the children try to sneak up on Jango, he attacks them and threatens to kill them. Kaya threatens to kill herself unless the children are kept alive. As she has not yet signed a will that states that Kuro is to get Kaya's worth when she dies, Django would be in trouble if she kills herself at this point, so he agrees to leave the children alone. In the English version of the anime, it is explained that Kaya tries to use Django's chakrams against him, but the chakrams will not let her use them.

The children pretend to be knocked out when Django forces Kaya to sign the will. Right before Django is able to slice her throat apart, Usopp's pirates ram him with a shovel. After Django knocks them away, Usopp and Zolo appear. Zolo slices off a branch with his sword, while Usopp hits Django with his Secret Technique Shooting Star attack, saving Kaya's life.

After the incident, Kaya gives the Merry Go to Luffy and his group of pirates as gratitude for saving her life.

He told the king to sent rain but the king told Kohza that he does not have to power like God to do that, Toto rushed in and scold Kozha for sneaking in without his notice. Cobra excused them and asked them to live in Alubarna, Toto approved that but Kohza rejected it, he went off crying and bumped into Vivi. Vivi insulted him calling him an crybaby, these two got in a fight. Ingram, the royal guard captain went berserk at this and tried to get Kohza and kill him while Cobra had to pull him from doing that, Toto almost committed suicide to beg for forgiveness, that's when Cobra hand-chopped the two to calm them down and informed them that it's only a kiddy fight. Vivi and Kohza went outside, the boys support Kohza while the girls support Vivi. Vivi won the fight, so Kohza made her a sub-leader for the Suna-Suna clan and they became friends.

Later, some thugs begin to harass Vivi, and they wanted to kidnap her. Kohza and the Suna-Suna clan defended Vivi and told her to run. They tried to stop the thugs but they are too big for them, so almost almost all of the clan was wounded. Vivi ran into the ruins as the crazed thugs chased her, Kohza followed. When one of the thugs found her, Kohza jumped in, one of the thugs pulled out a knife and stabbed Kohza near the left eye giving him an permanent scar. Kohza managed to knocked out the thug, Kohza was bleeding, the other thugs almost kidnapped Vivi, but Cobra and Ingram came to the rescue just in time to kick the thugs down. Chaka and Pell, the two bodygaruds showed up and wonders why the king is far from his palace. Kohza and the other clans were taken to the palace for medical treatment, and Kohza developed a relationship with Chaka.

8 years have passed, and the drought struck Alabasta again by the Dance Powder, which steals rain from other clouds. This incident was known as Dance Powder Scandal. It started in Elmulle, some carriers were bringing the bags of Dance Powder to Alubarna, the cart wheel was broken and the bags fell off and ripped up, since the powder was illegal to use, it was exposed. When people were asking what it, one carrier lied to them that the king was ordering them, thus people beginning to blame the king. the people started to get mad at the king, the rebellion was stirring up, yet no one knew it was really the work of the Baroque Works, who's boss was Crocodile, one of the seven gods of pirates.

When three years passed, he contacted his old first mate, the hypnotist Django, and arranged for the Black Cat pirates to siege the village, force Kaya to write and sign a will leaving all her wealth to Kuro, and then kill Kaya.
