Feni is a southern district of Bangladesh. It is small but has a rich history dating back to almost 3000 years.

Before 1984 it was under the Noakhali district, and in 1984 Feni became a full fledged district. Feni's climatic condition is modest, it borders Comilla, Noakhali and Chittagong districts. Bay of Bengal lies in the south of Feni. Feni is home to many noted Bangladeshis. Among them, Begum Khaleda Zia, present Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Zahir Raihan, Shahidullah Kaisar are notable.
