Patti Quigley
Patti Quigley is one of the founding members of the charity organization Beyond the 11th, which funds programs that help war widows in Afghanistan become self-sufficient. She helped start the organization in 2003 along with co-founder Susan Retik after the two women lost their husbands in the September 11, 2001 attacks. Quigley eventually stepped down from the organization to end her public role as a 9/11 widow, but she continues to focus on supporting Afghans widows and children through other projects.
Quigley and Retik are featured in the documentary film Beyond Belief.
