The Eishenhower dollar is a former United States coin. It was produced from 1971 to 1978.

The Eisenhower Dollar was the first dollar coin produced in the United States that was not made from a precious metal. It was composed of nickel-clad copper, though a few error pieces were struck in silver clad.

The obverse of the coin depicts President Dwight D. Eisenhower and the reverse the Apollo 11 moon landing.

In 1976, the coin's reverse was modified to commemorate the bicentennial of the United States. The reverse portrayed the Liberty Bell superimposed on the moon.
