Bishop Maginn High School is a Catholic high school in Albany, New York. In 2005 it had 408 students and 27 classroom teachers, giving it a student:teacher ratio of 14:1. It is coeducational and open to students of all faiths.

The school belongs to the school system of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. It is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and the Middle States Accreditation Body

Mission

The school mission statement is as follows:
"In keeping with the mission of Jesus, to teach, love and heal, Bishop Maginn High School strives to bring the presence of Jesus to all. We integrate the truths founds in Catholic Doctrine into our daily life. As a community, we celebrate and embrace diversity, fostering the recognition of unity as the people of God. Students are respected and challenged both personally and academically to grow and then intern to serve a world in need. By providing a safe and structured environment, through encouragement and love, students are empowered to reach their potential and grow in knowledge and faith."

History of Bishop Maginn High School

Bishop Maginn is named after the former Bishop of Albany Edward J. Maginn. At a point where Two older schools were being merged. the classes of Vincentian Institute And Cardinal Mullusky High School Were placed at the building that is now Bishop Maginn and V.I's Eagle, and Mucluskys Lion were also merged to create the Maginn Griffin.
