  • I have been on a whopping one emergency services mission to find an ELT.
  • I belong to the 102nd Composite Squadron, which is the best damn squadron in Rhode Island.
  • I am training to become a pilot through the Civil Air Patrol.
    • I have no logged hours as of yet, but I have stick time on two aircraft: N9824L and N908CP (both Cessna 172 Skyhawks)
      • Apart for CAP, my first flight in a small aircraft was a doozy: I flew in a Beechcraft A36 Bonanza.
  • I am an extremely active editor of the Civil Air Patrol article.
  • I was for a time part of the Color Guard.
  • I was the squadron's Cadet of the Quarter.

Amateur Radio

  • My callsign is KB1LYZ.
  • I own a Vertex VX-150 radio.
    • I b0rked that radio and I sent it in for repair. I'm still waiting (after more than two months) for it to come back. I'm getting annoyed.
  • I like to hang around on the 2-meter range on the 146.76 repeater in Rhode Island.

    • Most people give me weird looks and say "huh?" when they hear that. I've gotten used to it.
  • I have been part of the Senior All-State Band of Rhode Island for two years.
  • I have earned 3 medals for solo performances.
  • I started out on trumpet but that didn't go well. I moved to euphonium and that went superb. Although my skills are weak, I am able to play the trombone. I toyed around with the French horn before dropping it.
  • I suck at singing.
    • As in I can crack diamonds with my voice.

  • I am a Bar III Sharpshooter.
  • I own a Winchester 94/22 rifle.
  • I am a devout Christian. I am officially Baptist but in reality I'm more of a general Protestant.
