Football Riverside-Brookfield has a well respected football program, more recently Riverside-Brookfield's football team lost twice to it's conference foe Ridgewood High School, in Norridge. The two losses occured both away and home. RB lost 14-8 when taking on Ridgewood at it's home field, as Ridgewood scored in the last 46 seconds of the game. RB also lost in front of its homecoming crowd,[[2]]14-13 versus the Ridgewood Rebels. The Rebels had not defeated RB in 6 years, thus both victories were upset victories, spoiling RB's outlook on the IHSA playoffs. Most recently the RB football program has regressed.
Baseball The 2005 season came with many surprises. Most notably, the emergence of senior Ken Razionale (center fielder). On the basepaths, Razionale stole a team best 29 bases as a tablesetter, on top of an impressive .406 batting average (43-106).
