The European Academy for Environmental Affairs (also known as: European Academy of Environmental Affairs, probably identical with the Europäische Akademie für Umweltfragen, e.V., Tübingen) is/was a private organization which is known mainly because it gave it's label for the Leipzig Declaration on Climate Change, a SEPP-initiated document in which some scientists argue against global warming theories.

In 1993 this Academy held a conference in Mannheim under the title "Globale Erwärmung - Tatsache oder Behauptung?" (Global warming -- fact or fiction?). [1]

There are no webpages of the Academy, and there are some hints that is defunct actually.

On [2] there is a list of textbooks on ecology issued by the Academy.

Founder and president of the Academy was the late Prof. Dr. Dr. hc. Helmut Metzner (1925-1999), who was professor for plant physiology. His aim with the Academy was to give courses about the foundations of ecology. [3], [4].

An article by Metzner about his view on climate change can be found on the right-wing website konservativ.de [5]. He was accused of having strong connections to the Studienzentrum Weikersheim, a right-wing think-tank in Baden-Württemberg. [6]

The Academy is recognized in a consultative function [7] by the Council of Europe [8]
