History and trivia

San Diego County's first sheriff after California obtained statehood, was a Hungarian prince.

For many years, the SDSO's marked vehicles sported a unique green-and-white color scheme until economies of scale forced them to field a fleet of first all-white, then (to present day) black-and white vehicles.
