Chief Superintendent Ali Desai is a senior Metropolitan Police office, the most senior Muslim police officer in the United Kingdom and chair of the National Black Police Association. As such, he is frequently interviewed in the media. He is an occasionally controversial figure.[1]

Prior to moving to the "Met" he was Superintendent in charge of Henley-on-Thames police.
