The Mercury Program is an American musical group composed of Dave Lebleu on drums, Sander Travisano on bass guitar, Tom Reno on guitar, and Whit Travisano on vibraphone and piano. They are based in Gainesville, FL. The first three members formed a trio in August 1997 and Whit Travisano joined in late 1999. Most of their music is instrumental and features strong and sometimes complex rhythms. Their style is most commonly called post-rock, and they are often compared to bands such as Tortoise and Maserati, the latter of whom they recorded a split release with.
