Point of view pornography (POV) is adult entertainment that is filmed as if the watcher had experienced and filmed the happenings. POV originally stood for Prostitutes on video where a male would film a girl performing oral sex upon him with a small modern video camera giving the effect that the viewer was in his position looking down upon the girl's performance. Slowly during the 1990's this abberviation was re-named point of view which was probably more appropriate.

X-Rated Critics Organization awards POV productions during their annual XRCO awards. At the time of writing (2006) the award has been given out to one production only. The 2005 POV award for Pov Pervert 5 by Red Light District.
