It was the concluding phase of the 2019–20 Basketball Champions League season, which marked the fourth season of Basketball Champions League (BCL). Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the following suspension of the league,[1] the usual format of an Final Four was changed to a Final Eight.[2]
The tournament was played behind closed doors due to worries about COVID-19.
Venue
The O.A.C.A. Olympic Indoor Hall was the stage of the final tournament for the second time, having already hosted the 2018.[3][4] AEK Athens, which won the championship that year, would serve as host again. The arena was completed in 1995, and was the largest indoor venue in use for sporting events at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. It is located in the Athens suburb of Marousi. It is considered to be one of the biggest and most modern indoor sports arenas in all of Europe.
