Ranko is a character in the comic The Adventures of Tintin made by Hergé or Georges Remi.

He appears in the story The Black Island and is a servant of the evil trainer who works for a gang of money forgers called Puschov. He is rescued from his evil owners by Tintin who takes him to a caged zoo, remembering that in the days it was published many zoos were not as animal friendly as modern ones like Sydney's Taronga.
