Lamsdorf is the original German language name of the present day town Łambinowice in Polish Silesia. The name is associated with German prison of war camps in both World War I and World War II, see Stalag VIII-B and Stalag VIII-F. A large German Army base and training area was established here in the middle of the 19th century.,
