James White (born February 3, 1992) is an American football running back for the Wisconsin Badgers.

High school career

Attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School (Ft. Lauderdale, FL). Was a part of the 2009 St. Thomas Aquinas mythical high school "National Championship" team. At Aquinas he primarily split time with Gio Bernard who currently is a running back for the University of North Carolina. James rushed for over 1,000 yards and over 20 touchdowns in his senior year and was chosen to the (Broward) All-County team. White came out of St. Thomas Aquinas as the 70th ranked running back in the nation, also a three star recruit by Scout.com recruiting, who chose Wisconsin over Clemson, Michigan State, South Florida among others. White also played Baseball and ran Cross Country, lettering in both.

College career

White was named the 2010 Big Ten Freshman of the year. White rushed for over 100 yards on five different occasions against Austin Peay, Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan, and Northwestern. White rushed for over 1000 yards and 14 touchdowns leading the Badgers to the 2011 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
