Handigund is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India.[1][2] It is located in the Raybag taluk of Belgaum district in Karnataka.

Handigund(ಹಂದಿಗುಂದ) is a beautiful village and included in Raibag Taluk which is under Belgaum district. It is last village of belgaum distic .The name HANDIGUND came from Haingund(ಹೈನುಗಾರಿಕೆ).In milk production it is one of model village in karnataka.for this it got so many prizes .

                                       Here is one temple  namely lord siddeswara (gubbeppa)this name came to him for his great Penance(ತಪಸ್ಸು) and it's nice fair will going on in the month of february. According to 2001 India census, Handigund had a population of 7382 with 3757 males and 3625 females...It is one of model village in belgaum. It it is very developing village in education,farming and milk production.
                                      Handigund village gave two IAS officers .Namely Siddalingppa Teli IRS (2006 batch) and Basavaraj Teli IPS (2010 batch) .and it also gave a KAS officer in 2011. I hope in future  so many candidates will select as KAS & IAS officers..It is belongs to orthodox village.now also so many people following some old  customs.and peoples main economic source is Agriculture(ವ್ಯವಸಾಯ).
                                       I am also one of citizen from Handigund my name is SHRISHAIL MAHADEV CHINAGUNDI .my family is joint family .my grandfather(parappa styappa chinagundi)  is head of our family.our family olso belongs to Ariculture and orthodox family...
