  • April 1, 2009: Radicals in London under the banner of G20 Meltdown stage a protest at the Bank of England
  • December 6–28, 2008: Anarchists and others riot against police in Greece following the killing of a 15 year old by a police officer. Clashes with police and attacks on Greek Embassies and Consulates have spread to several other European countries, and the United States.
  • November 11–15, 2008: The Tarnac Nine are arrested in Tarnac, France and accused of large-scale sabotage of the French rail network
