Dukem (var. Ducam, Dukham) is a village in central Ethiopia. It is located in the Misraq Shewa Zone of the Oromia Region, and serves as the administrative center of the Akaki woreda. It is located 37 km southeast of Addis Ababa[1] and 10 km northwest of Debre Zeyit.[2] Dukem is situated along the Addis Ababa - Dire Dawa highway and is a station on the Ethio-Djibouti Railway.[1] Dukem is named for the Dukem River.[1]
