The Ranch was a three-member country band that released only one album dubbed The Ranch in 1997.

The band consisted of:

  • Keith Urban- lead/background vocals, guitar, ganjo (a bango body with a 6 string, standard guitar tuning, neck), keyboards
  • Jerry Flowers - background vocals, bass guitar
  • Peter Clarke - drums, percussion.

The band recorded only one album, the self-titled release "The Ranch". This album contained the first recording of the song "Some Days You Gotta Dance", made famous by the Dixie Chicks, written by songwriters Marshall Morgan and Troy Johnson.

The band's CD was re-released as "Keith Urban: In The Ranch" on February 10, 2004.
