No conclusive evidence?

The lead simply asserts that there is no conclusive evidence as to the origin of the virus. Even if this insufficiently sourced assertion was true, it still has no place in the article. This article is about the city of Wuhan. Mentioning the fact that COVID-19 was first found there is relevant to the article. Asserting that we don't know the origin of the virus is a claim for the COVID-19 page, not this one. I understand that this is a powder keg, but that doesn't mean we throw out all standards, and allow politics to influence content. The reference needs to be removed. 2601:18F:4101:4830:BDFC:6E0D:9CAD:6572 (talk) 05:17, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

small change request

Next to the photo of the gunboat Zhongshan there is a reference to Nanking. This is Wade-Giles, people always say it wrong, the name of the city has always been pronunced Nan Jing, could someone please change to the pinyin romanization, which is easier for non-Chinese speakers to get right ? Gracias (and no idea why a covid footnote is getting postfixed to me request, oh well.) 73.83.43.194 (talk) 08:15, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wait until someone replies and you can go give out details. 2601:205:C001:EA0:8C8C:2AE3:19B5:861D (talk) 02:04, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Arnhem isn’t a sister city anymore

It’s in Dutch, but Arnhem isn’t a sister city anymore because of what happens in Xinjiang. Source: https://nos.nl/artikel/2390294-arnhem-verbreekt-stedenband-met-wuhan-vanwege-behandeling-oeigoeren-in-china 2001:1C04:4E01:6700:6071:7B40:B2E:CC6 (talk) 14:02, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disgraceful

Unlock please. Despite Wikipedia's disgraceful efforts to cover for Communist China, including locking down talk pages, the lab leak theory has not been thoroughly rebutted and is still currently being investigated. And FYI, the weasel words "most scientists" matter not a jot in this case. The only people that matter, whose opinions or findings should be quoted, are scientists or Drs, journos or writers with work IN RELEVENT FIELDS. — Preceding unsigned comment added by username or IP (talkcontribs)

Pronunciation

So, what region is the first given pronunciation supposed to be appropriate for if the second and third are "US also"? Britain and some Commonwealth nations? It's not made clear.67.83.99.134 (talk) 21:49, 20 September 2022 (UTC)corpho[reply]
