The 2022 South East Queensland flood is a current flood event occurring in South East Queensland. Falls over 400mm have been recorded.[4] The Mary River at Gympie is expecting its highest peak since 1999, prompting the evacuation of some residents.[5] According to Seqwater, Wivenhoe Dam is at 160% capacity as of the 27th of February 2022.[6] On the morning of February 27th the Brisbane river’s height reached 3.1m, higher than the peak hight of the 2013 floods of 2.3m.[7]
