Sarien is a virtual machine for playing games written using Adventure Game Interpreter (AGI), the system Sierra used for their old games. The first game to use AGI was King's Quest which was released in 1984. AGI was replaced by Sierra's Creative Interpreter (SCI) during the late 1980's.

Sarien has been ported to many systems such as BeOS, MSDOS, Windows, Linux, Xbox, etc.
