Einar Benediktsson (18641940) was an Icelandic poet and lawyer.

Einar was one of the men who established Landvarnarflokkurinn in 1902. He was also the editor of Dagskrá from 1896 to 1898. He was a strong advocate of utilizing Iceland's natural resources. He has has a sometimes deserved repuation of being dense and obscure, but some of the most cited and also accessible poetry of the day is also his work.
