Gibraltar Hill is a hill near Bungendore, New South Wales, Australia.

Location and characteristics

It is situated 3.8 kilometres (2.4 mi) east of Bungendore, New South Wales, Australia.[1][2] It is located at the 35.565200805 latitude and 149.167892456 longitude.[3]

History

Jackey Jackey

In 1840, Jackey Jackey created a hide-out on the hill, overlooking Bungendore.[4]

Mining

Granite mined from the hill was used in the construction of buildings in the town of Bungendore.[5]
