Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. GimliDotNet (Speak to me,Stuff I've done) 18:56, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Imtitanium, I see how this was vandalism, and I've blocked Sunilvit09‎ indefinitely. I can also see how frustrating this was for you, but keep in mind that something that is glaringly obvious to you is not going to be obvious to others with less knowledge about the subject. I would have probably called it a content dispute myself if I hadn't looked closer at what he was trying to add, and recognized it for what it was. Sorry if this was stressful. Cheers. --Floquenbeam (talk) 19:11, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Seconded. Adding content to article talk pages would have had this resolved a hell of a lot quicker as admins like Floquenbeam and others may have got involved sooner. Talking is good, explaining your position is good rather than just saying 'it's vandalism' GimliDotNet (Speak to me,Stuff I've done) 19:14, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For me it was just "too" obvious so i did not want to waste time on talk pages when i knew he would not listen. Thanks by the way. --Imtitanium (talk) 06:18, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please review Wikipedia's Etiquette guidelines

Imtitanium,

Please review Wikipedia's Etiquette guidelines and Ownership_of_articles. While everyone is welcome to contribute constructively, this is not how anyone should be spoken to on Wikipedia. You have been warned in the past about how you speak to other users here. It doesn't matter if you suspect a user is a troll or a sock puppet or a banned user, you must refrain from speaking in that manner to anyone. Such language and attitude is not healthy for the community at large. You have also been warned about edit warring, deleting comments, posting offensive material, abusing WP:AIV, and adding incorrect information to Wikipedia. If Wikipedia is important to you, then you will take the time to review Wikipedia's Etiquette guidelines and Ownership_of_articles. Otherwise, you run the risk of being blocked again, and possibly banned.

Consider this a warning. If you have any questions whatsoever, please let me know. Kingturtle = (talk) 14:31, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for putting a good foot forward. Best, Kingturtle = (talk) 16:37, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator intervention against vandalism

Thanks for your recent report about 201.141.50.12 at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. I have semiprotected Project Runway and Template:Project Runway for six months. However, I thought it might help you for the future to let you know that I was about to decline the report, as there had been only one low-level warning and very few edits, when quite by chance I happened to notice an edit to the same article by another, related, IP address. You cannot assume that an administrator will notice things like this, and if a report that you make depends on a history spread over many IP addresses, you should briefly mention the fact. I know that the editing instructions say "keep it short", but it is a mistake to make a report so short that it misses the central point. I notice that, in a message above, you were told "keep in mind that something that is glaringly obvious to you is not going to be obvious to others with less knowledge about the subject", and perhaps the same applies here: without a detailed knowledge of the editing history of the relevant pages, it was not at all obvious that this was a persistent vandal. CCI Notice

Hello, Imtitanium. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Contributor copyright investigations concerning your contributions in relation to Wikipedia's copyrights policy. The listing can be found here. For some suggestions on responding, please see Responding to a CCI case. Thank you. Psychonaut (talk) 12:36, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I made them a long time ago. Just got to know abt the strong policy abt copyright material -- I'm Titanium  chat 12:41, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's no problem. The "policy" isn't really ours though; it's just that we, like any other publication venue, need to comply with the law or else we could find ourselves sued or shut down. If you'd like you can help identify and remove any third-party text you may have contributed before you knew about the policy; there are instructions on the CCI page. —Psychonaut (talk) 14:29, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
All the pages i created are near to deletion so I'm of no help. I'm done contributing to this fictional WMF. I'll just add the nominations to Bigg Boss 6 on weekly basis. That is all. I dont care if the article is updated or not. I'll add things only cause i Like Bigg Boss not because i care abt this foundation or something. Good Day. -- I'm Titanium  chat 14:32, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
On the contrary; most of the pages you created are still around, and are not up for deletion. There are copyright problems with some (but not all) of them, but other editors are working to resolve these problems. In most cases the resolution won't involve deletion of the entire article, but rather removal and replacement or rewriting of the problematic text. The notifications you're receiving about this work aren't to punish or embarrass you but simply to make you aware of the problems so that you don't repeat them in the future—we all hope that you'll stick around! —Psychonaut (talk) 15:37, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you do decide that you want to continue to contribute, please come by the CCI investigation and assist in the cleanup. The best way to show "Now you know" is to help those that are cleaning up after you. Even if you do not want to put the effort into rewording things, it would be extremely helpful if you assisted us in figuring out what was copied, and from where. If we know what is bad text, it can be selectively removed, and that will show others where new text needs to be written. - TexasAndroid (talk) 21:42, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Imtitanium. Try not to feel too upset about the noticeboard threads that you've been mentioned in recently. We do value your contributions, really! The copyright thing was unfortunate because we legally can't accept copyright violations on Wikipedia, but that doesn't mean that we don't want you to contribute. On the contrary, now that you understand our copyright rules, you will be a very useful person to have around. :) Let me know if there are any questions you want to ask, and I'll be happy to give you an answer. I have to say I am impressed at how much you have come on as an editor. Since our first clashes over Big Brother you have matured into a good editor. I am very impressed with how you have conducted yourself with this copyright issue. Good luck in your future endeavours here and elsewhere. Your recent comment

Hi again Imtitanium. I just saw this comment you made at Dharmadhyaksha's talk page, and it seems that you are treating your relationship with him as a kind of "battle" to be "won". I think you would do well to read the advice at our policy Wikipedia:No personal attacks, and be aware that Wikipedia is not a battleground, but a place to collaborate with other editors. If you disagree with another editor, then we expect that you talk together in a calm and civil fashion, and if talking with them doesn't work then we expect you to follow Wikipedia's dispute resolution system rather than resort to edit warring or incivility. It helps a lot if you focus on the content that you are discussing, and don't mention other editors' personalities or what you think their motives are. If you would like to do some reading to really get to grips with these ideas, I also recommend Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not about winning and all the essays linked at the bottom of Wikipedia:Assume good faith. Again, let me know if you have any questions. Best — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 13:04, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

He got personal, not me. He keeps being partial towards me and that to you is of no value of course. -- I'm Titanium  chat 13:15, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
On that talk page I don't see any comments from him which make any personal remarks about you. He restricted his criticism to the content, not to the contributors. If I've overlooked a personal attack please quote it here and maybe we can get an uninvolved editor to help resolve the matter. —Psychonaut (talk) 13:18, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You might be right, but for accusations like this we need evidence, otherwise it falls under one of the definitions of a personal attack: "Accusations about personal behavior that lack evidence." Could you post the evidence of him being partial towards you here? (Preferably including diffs.) If you give me an idea of where I should look I'll go and assess the situation. — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 14:18, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I swear to God i have no clue how i got involved with you ppl. I hate Wikipedia now. I have a real life guys. I'm out of here, I'm gonna get myself into no correspondences anymore. U think i'm wrong? block me. U think i hurt someone, block me. I DONT CARE ANYMORE. I forgot that i have real ppl to attend to. This is so messed up i swear. -- I'm Titanium  chat 15:43, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove the {{copyvio}} template from articles, as you did with Bigg Boss. As the instructions on the template state, "Do not restore or edit the blanked content on this page until the issue is resolved by an administrator, copyright clerk or OTRS agent." If you want to volunteer to produce a non-infringing version, please follow the instructions on the template, which tell you how to create one on a temporary page. I see that you also removed some, but not all, of the infringing text when you removed the template; if you want to produce a new version on a temporary page, you will need to remove all the copied material and replace it with text you have written yourself or taken from and properly credited to freely licensed sources. —Psychonaut (talk) 13:09, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Abusive IP editor

Hi Titanium. I've blocked the two IPs that were being used to harrass you. However, it's clearly the same person behind the abuse and so a rangeblock may be required, which is beyond my current abilities. Let me know if you get any more similar messages, and I'll contact the appropriate people. Yunshui  13:11, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bigg boss 6

I agree with you that Bigg Boss 6 definitely needs to be a stand alone article. What I would suggest now to you is continue to edit the article, and also maintain a copy of the article in your user space or a sandbox. Meanwhile, I will try to contact the admin involved and see what can be done. By the time the new decision is made if the 6 article is merged with Bigg Boss, at least you will have a copy in your possession that can be used to revitalize the 6 article. Another possibility remains that the merger would never take place. Lets see what happens.--Dwaipayan (talk) 21:42, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP:DRV is always there. I am sure, this will be overturned or relisted if you take it there. --Anbu121 (talk me) 22:06, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It was a copyright issue and the copyvio content has been removed. I have rewritten the summaries. I hated it it but still i wrote them and now this merger thing is just too preposterous. -- I'm Titanium  chat 06:00, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Anbu has suggested a good way. Would you like to take this issue to WP:DRV by yourself? Or, would you like to ask the admin MBisanz (talk · contribs) for any suggestion/guidance? In either case, I would suggest you that please keep you calm! I understand that it is very distressing to see something being done which you know to be unjust, but please believe that with a little bit of patience will be fruitful in such circumstances. Dil pe mat le yaar!-Dwaipayan (talk) 14:40, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, the consensus was merge? I gave a neutral vote (actually did not vote) at that time, but, I surely don't support this merge consensus! --Tito Dutta (talk) 14:59, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Dil pe lene kii baat ni hai yaar, Yeh tou Na-insaafi hai boss, Bandaa karay tou kya karayy? I've already posted this issue on his talkpage [1]. I made this page from scratch and have been contributing since. To see i get merged is a slap on the face. Kappaaoww! -- I'm Titanium  chat 15:07, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Non-free content policy and guideline

Please do not place or replace any non-free images to any pages except for actual articles, as you did at User:Imtitanium/sandbox. Such use is a clear violation of point number 9 of our policy concerning the use of non-free images. Continuing to do so can be viewed as disruptive behaviour and you may be blocked from editing. October 2012

Please do not remove the {{copyvio}} template from articles, as you did with Bigg Boss. Your action has been reverted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted, and removing copyright notices will not help your case. You can properly contest the deletion at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. If you are the owner of the material, you may release the material under the Creative Commons and GFDL licenses, as detailed at WP:IOWN. Alternatively, you are welcome to create a draft in your own words at Bigg Boss/Temp. If you continue to insert copyright violations and/or remove copyright notices, you may be blocked from editing. Psychonaut (talk) 18:37, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Are u kidding me? I removed al the copy vio frm that paragraph and then removed the template. Like wtf?  I'm Titanium  chat 18:49, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please refer to #Removing copyright violation templates above. You are not an administrator, copyright clerk, or OTRS agent, so please do not remove the template. If you would like to volunteer to write a non-infringing version of the article, please follow the instructions near the link labelled "Otherwise, you may write a new article without copyright-infringing material." —Psychonaut (talk) 18:51, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please state the so-called 'copyright-infringing material' here and i'll remove it. I volunteer. :D -- I'm Titanium  chat 04:23, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please read the template, which clearly indicates the source of the infringing material. You already know how to view the wikitext of an article section to see where it is reproduced there. Your removal before was probably OK, except that it should have been done on a temporary copy of the article instead of the article itself. Just do that and leave a note at the relevant entry at Wikipedia:Copyright problems (and maybe also at Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/Imtitanium if you're the one who originally added the infringing material); then an administrator or copyright clerk will review it and incorporate your fix into the article. —Psychonaut (talk) 09:24, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
